Budapest

Budapest was the center of the 1956 revolution. It is where everything started with the protest march of students and it was where it ended by setting up a new Soviet government. In Budapest, the violence was the worst, the protests the hardest and the fights the longest. After the protest marches the news spread like a virus and within a couple of hours the entire city was full of protesters and police.

Students tried to enter the Hungarian Radio station, demolished stores and shops, entered hotels in Budapest and destroyed street signs, statues and cars in the city.
